I'm pretty sure Sonarworks SoundID Reference is not meant to be enabled while exporting. They actually indicate in their instructions to make sure you disable it before exporting as it should only be used to correct the individuals monitoring environment, not the final print.

I have the 880 which were recommended for producing / mixing / mastering as they were more flat. I really like them but I make house and techno and they just seem to have very little bass or sub at all to the point where I can't tell what's going on down there. I could try sonarworks but thinking of the 900 pro x if they are any good for bass or maybe the 990 pro.

do you put sculptor on the snare bus or on the master bus? is that right that sculptor actually doesn't work with the rest of the mix, only with the snare? so the context sound of the whole song will change the "perfected" snare after it was processed by sculptor, right?

great video Geoff. I think it's worth mentioning, as far as UX is concerned, that the Joey Sturgis and Nectar have big ass performance hits, in comparison the other plugins. Nectar I can understand, because there's a lot going on and a fair bit of granularity in terms of tweaking choices, although I have to say, I'm never really that impressed with Nectar (I've had it since v1), it always seems to offer much more than it ever delivers, for me anyhow and for quite a while, it regularly crashed Cubase Pro. The code doesn't appear to have been optimised particularly well in either of these products. I'm using a M1 silicon mac studio and I've had all these plugins for a while and have demoed and used them. Also, it's worth mentioning that you work for Izotope for those that don't know. Good job with the info about Waves, just a horrible company with a big moral deficit. The IK thing, well, I've always found their offerings confused and underwhelming and not really worth the bother of the experience.

Really is a good plugin. I've started using it as a way to roughly EQ/mildy distort at the start of the insert - get a decent EQ balance/vibe at the start of the mix and work from there to finetune.

Wait, the pros use brainworx? I always thought those were just kinda mass produced average type plugins. Yeah UA is top notch. Hmmm, maybe Ill have to reconsider brainworx

Most people aren't. Some people got used to the sound..... Some people are just used to it.... And don't really use it for the sound... But the function on tracks that have already been recorded through something nice.

Both mics are very close in texture but M90 is little bit more punchy in low and low mid frequencies so that emphases Highs frequencies with lesser siblances where the LCT is little bit more brights in mids and highs but also fewer punchy in low and low mids. It depends of the mic distance is the voice recorded as well. The M90 pro will be lesser punchy like LCT if you get back little bit more and so the High mids and highs will be little more bright and at the end very like the LCT. Both of them could be very usefull anyway for different kind of voices i think. One important think for me the M90 pro frequency range start at 20 hz compare to SM7B,. I ordered yesterday the M90 pro. ~ Also, the M70 pro should be good for recording vocals and singers. I really want to try it with some voices. The M70 Pro won t be a wrong investment. .

they are not too bright...that was a urban myth created. what happens is they have weak lowmids which then makes the highs pop up. They have insane quality mids and high clarity but if you work with heavy bass music you ll have to find a way to bring up that lowmid which is a variable based on the room you work on, a mix of acoustic treatment, speaker placement and the eq control room at the back. They are very good speakers but they are kind hard to tune in.

Check out Gamma Vocal Suite. It surprised me!! I think that one + VOCA placed before it is a winning combination!!

Rx IZotope is like a 3 in 1 bottle of Wash. It does its job but its better to get different plugins that specialises specifically in those areas.

I bought 990 pro and I love it .Dont expect strong bass without a headphone amplifier and dont expect it on bad recordings as well . Great headphone, great transparency , I really love them .

Hello! I have a question regarding headphone impedance. I own the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X, which has an impedance of 48 ohms. I'm considering purchasing the Audient iD4 interface, which has a headphone impedance of 600 ohms. I've heard that using higher impedance headphone amps with lower impedance headphones can affect frequency response and potentially damage the drivers. Can you clarify if this will be an issue, or if it's safe to use the headphones with the interface? Thanks in advance!

I just bought the RX 10 standard for nature recording. It would be helpful if you had some tutorial videos explaining how to use it for that. There's a few on the internet but not a whole lot. I guess this is a music channel so I understand if you wouldn't want to cover that topic.

These speakers have very little headroom and peak very, very fast. I sent them back. They look good, but very low volume speakers and my presonus are literally louder without any peaking issues EVER! Insane to even compare the two speakers...
